Attending the FisherPoets Gathering
Everyone's welcome to join us. A $20 event button gets you into all FisherPoets Gathering venues and workshops all weekend. Buttons are available now downtown at the Astoria-Warrenton Chamber of Commerce, 111 Marine Dr.; the Astoria Brewing Company, 144 11th St; RiverSea Gallery, 1160 Commercial St; Old Town Framing, 1287 Commercial St and, during the Gathering, at all venue doors and at the FisherPoets Gathering Gearshack, 1154 Commercial St, downstairs in Suite A (also accessible on Marine Dr.).
We're grateful to Port Town Property Management for arranging space for this year's pop-up Gearshack where you'll find fisherpoets' books, art and music for sale. Have a look at the Silent Auction while you're there and make a bid on something that strikes your fancy.

Parents with children might like to know that, though we don't have activities specifically for youngsters, those who come seem to enjoy themselves. Saturday special events that children might enjoy include the knot tying workshop at Pier 39 and the singers' circle that follows. Late Saturday night stick around for the On-Site Poetry Contest. Youngsters have won that one.
The Liberty Theatre, the Columbian Theater, the Ten Fifteen Theater and the Fort George Lovell Showroom welcome minors all evening, Astoria Brewing Company and KALA until 9 p.m.
Audiences aren't always hushed. Don't worry too much about making anyone sit still.
We ask evening presenters not to use gratuitous vulgar language but sometimes we're unpleasantly surprised.
People 18 years old and younger are admitted free.
