2024 FisherPoets Gathering: February 23, 24 and 25

Fisherpoets are schooling up again and our venues are looking forward to hosting us. Here below is a list of fisherpoets so far who'll join us in Astoria the last weekend of February, like always.
Information on attending and purchasing event buttons is here. This year's list of participants is below, and we'll keep it updated as the currents shift. Have a look at this year's Evening Reading Schedule and the Special Events Schedule . Keep an eye on it for updates and changes. Parts of this year's event will be streamed live: Coast Community Radio KMUN broadcasts fisherpoetry live audio both nights from the Liberty Theatre at 91.9 FM and on line at www.coastradio.org. And we'll have a video stream from the Liberty Theatre both nights, too: Friday night at the Liberty Theatre Saturday night at the Liberty Theatre Would you like to help us put the event on? We always appreciate volunteers. Authentic, creative voices from the commercial fishing industry are always welcome. Want to participate? Duncan Berry offers a Gyotaku print-making workshop, Deep Blue Sea: Creating Art from Creatures of the Pacific, at the Columbia River Maritime Museum's Barbey Maritime Center, Friday afternoon, February 23. All proceeds benefit the FisherPoets Gathering's fund to encourage young writers.
Tickets have sold out, sorry. Though the FisherPoets Gathering is primarily a spoken-word, or sung, event we've enjoyed the participation of many visual artists over the years. Corey Arnold and Duncan Berry have shows at Imogen and RiverSea galleries respectively this year. And Sarah Campen brings Salmon Dance to us from Icy Strait.
